MONTH OF AUGUST- Daily Experiences and Tours....
Here is a schedule for the events that will be happening everyday throughout the summer. Most of these repeat on a daily or weekly basis. Check each one for dates and times. Check the individual schedule for music and occasional entertainment throughout the County.

Daily – Kayak and SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boards) and Bike rentals available at the Bras d’Or Lakes Inn in St. Peter’s 535-2200.

Daily -  Twilight Stables located in Soldiers Cove- offering summer kids camps run week days from 8-5pm, riding lessons, trail rides, pony rides and birthday parties after 5pm or on weekends. Contact 1-902-631-0882.

Daily- Chapel Island (Potlotek) tourism is offering some excellent Cultural experiences for locals as well as for our visitors. They are offering canoeing/camp out on an island with tour guide Maynard Marshall, contact number 631-2394. Boating Tours/fishing and overnight stay in a Cabin by the lake. Or try spearing eels at night with tour guide Kenny Basque-contact number 631-0840. Native Story Telling with R Marshall. Contact number 535-3160. Daily - Golf at the Dundee Resort and Golf Club is hard to beat anywhere. Beautiful course and great prices all summer long where a golfer can play a round of golf after 3pm for $45.00 plus taxes with the use of a power cart. Also offering Twilight special on Tuesday and Thursday where you can play an round of golf from starting time to 3pm for $45.00 plus taxes or after 3pm and play for $35.00 plus taxes. Both these prices include the use of a power cart. Come Check it out!!!

Specializing in Rocky Mountain horses a rare Gaited breed. Come out and enjoy a trail ride or a pony ride. The staff is World Host certified offering its guest quality service. Daily 9:00am – 5:00pm - Nicolas Denys Museum on Denys Street in St. Peter's. Admission by donation only. Learn about Saint Pierre the French Settlement of 1650 and the history of our National Historic Site the St. Peter's Canal which is the Oldest Working Tidal Lock in North America.

Daily 9:00am – 6:00pm - Bras d'Or Outdoor- /Don't let the summer slip away stop in at the shop and check out the great selection of outdoor sports equipment from docks to fishing and hunting needs. Open 6 days a week, Monday thru Saturday, for your convenience. Located at 10042 Grenville Street, St. Peter's

Daily 9:30am – 5:30pm -The Wallace MacAskill House Museum – Learn about Wallace R. MacAskill the world famous Marine Photographer whose picture of the Blue Nose is on our Dime. See old cameras and Photographs. The Museum is also a Heritage House so you would see what our homes were like at the turn of the Century. Admission is by donation only.

10:00am - 5pm - Wednesday thru Sunday - 12th Annual Summer Surf Program- Come out for a summer of enjoyment -join the Surf Clubs -Kid's Club, Wednesday to Sunday from 11:15am to 12:45pm for ages 6-12 years must be accompanied by a guardian, fee $75.00 includes lessons and equipment. Junior Surf Club ages 13-19 years, Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 11:15am, fee $$75.00. Includes lessons and equipment. Surf Lessons and Rentals available for all ages and skill levels contact Michelle at 227-1230 for more information. 
Daily 10:00am – 8:00pm - The Dundee Resort and Golf Club - The boat house offers rentals for Kayaks, Paddle Boats, Canoes all for $10.00 an hour each, or swim out to our water trampoline and enjoy an hour for just $6.00. They supply life jackets and there are also free activities for the kids, including rock painting and craft making, and a bon fire at 8:30pm

Daily 11:30am – 5:00pm - Treats and Treasures Gift Shop& Cafe/Bakery located at the historic MacDonald Country Inn at 9383 Pepperell Street, St. Peter's. The Gift shop carries a variety of Souvenir and gift items. The bakery will serve it's guests delicious homemade German cakes, sweet treats and baked goods and soups and sandwiches. FREE SAIL -  Monday thru Wednesday - 2:00pm – 3:00pm - Tour the St. Peter's Canal - Once a day from Monday to Wednesday. Tour starts at 2pm, meet at the St. Peter's Canal for a 1 hour sail. No charge can take up to 4 people. Experience a ride through the canal locks and underneath the swing bridge. Take a short run about in the bay or inlet either under sail or by motor depending on conditions. To book your sail call Gordon Kerr at 902-631-3754 Or call 902-535-3759.

Daily – Monday thru Thursday -  6:30pm – 7:30pm - Historical tours of Battery Provincial Park in St. Peter`s are conducted with local raconteur, Clair Rankin, Monday to Thursday 

Daily Tuesday thru Sunday - 12:00pm – 8:00pm  - Forget-Me-Not Gift Shop, 4155 West Bay Hwy, open daily 12 noon to 8 PM. Closed on Monday. –

Daily -The dining room at L’Auberge  Acadienne Inn will be opening for the supper hours on Tuesday July 15. We will be open Tuesday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday to Monday we will be open by reservation. We are open 7 days a week for breakfast for our guests. 7:00pm – 9:00pm - The Bras d'Or Lakes Inn presents Ceilidh at the Inn with Leah Campbell, Meagan Burke, Jaidon Seymour and Charles MacDonald. Cost: $5/person or $20/family, Free for Children Under 9. Cash bar.
9:00pm – 11:00pm - Jam Session in the Session Lounge at the Bras d'Or Lakes Inn in St. Peter’s.
